Alpha Women’s Center is a pro-life ministry of fundamental Baptistic congregations and shall subscribe to the following statement of principle:
Outreach ministry of Jesus Christ
Alpha Women’s Center is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church. Therefore, Alpha Women’s Center, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the Gospel to women with crisis pregnancies, both in word and in deed. Commensurate with this purpose, those who labor as Alpha Women’s Center board members, directors, and volunteers are expected to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Assisting pregnant women
Alpha Women’s Center is committed to assisting women in carrying their pregnancies to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Alpha Women’s Center seeks to bring the resources of the local churches and community to bear on the needs of pregnant women.
Non-discriminating
Alpha Women’s Center never discriminates in providing services because of a client’s race, creed, color, national origin, age, financial status or marital status.
Community awareness
Alpha Women’s Center is committed to creating an awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion does not resolve, but only exacerbates, human need.
No abortion or contraceptives
Alpha Women’s Center never advises, provides, or refers for abortion or abortifacient pharmaceuticals or devices. Alpha Women’s Center does not engage in contraceptive counseling or in referring for contraceptives or contraceptive services. Married women seeking contraceptive information are encouraged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastors and physicians.
Validity of adoption
Alpha Women’s Center recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion; however, Alpha Women’s Center is not biased in favor of or in opposition to adoption. Alpha Women’s Center is independent of adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other referral agencies. Alpha Women’s Center receives no payment from adoption agencies, does not enter into contractual relationships with them, nor is Alpha Women’s Center established under the auspices of such agencies.
Honest advertisement
Alpha Women’s Center is committed to honesty and integrity in the advertisement of its services within the community. The use of deception in advertising or promotion of the Center is a violation of Alpha Women’s Center’s code of ethics.
