“All of my life,
in every season–
You are still God,
I have a reason to sing.
I have a reason to worship!”
The lyrics of that song are a great reminder that in every season, there is reason to sing. Because God is still on the throne, still on the job. And I can trust the Maker of the universe to make a way through the storm.
Well, are you feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the craziness just now? If so, then keep this perspective in mind: “In the history of the world, there has never been a storm that lasted. This too, shall pass.”
2020 has been a challenge! And there will probably be more challenges ahead. I’m grateful that I don’t have to have it all sorted out—I can bring those challenges to the Lord in prayer.
Indeed, the Bible teaches us in 1 Peter 5:7 to “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” You know, we were never meant to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.
And we don’t have to have it “sorted” before we bring it to Him. So, take your burden to the Lord, and leave it there.
